Meghadeep Roy Chowdhury

Roy has over six years of experience in the energy market, with one year exclusively in the independent consulting space. He has worked in major end sectors of the market, and his resume includes PJM Interconnection, Susquehanna International Group, and Yes Energy.

Roy came to the US in 2015, and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Roy has worked at PJM Interconnection in two different teams: Outage Analysis Tech, where he had a client facing role that got him to participate in stakeholder meetings; and Transmission Engineers, where he had the opportunity to work with power flow modelling in PJM’s territory.

At Susquehanna International Group, Roy got to learn Python to implement trading algorithms, and worked with senior traders to build in-house tools.

Roy has also worked at Yes Energy as a Market Analyst. Here, he focused on researching market and policy changes to guide development cycles, analyzing emerging trends for internal and external education, and customer support on product and market knowledge. Roy was in charge of PJM, MISO, IESO, and AESO markets.

At Grid Intelligence, Roy provides consultations on the energy market, and energy data solutions; and facilitates internal trainings with his technical knowledge of the electric grid. He serves the first half of the US timezones, and second half of the Indian timezone.
